The Village of Fayetteville received a grant for $625,000 as a recipient of the Safe Routes to School Grant through the Transportation Alternatives program. “The goal of New York's Safe Routes to School Program is to assist New York communities in developing and implementing projects and programs that encourage walking and bicycling to school while enhancing the safety of these trips.”

RE: Sidewalk Work in your Neighborhood

The Village of Fayetteville DPW crew will begin removing sidewalks in certain areas immediately.

The village was just notified today that the contractors are ready to begin the work.

EZ Paving, contractor, will begin constructing replacement concrete sidewalk on South Manlius Street between Lincoln Avenue and Clinton Street. These upgrades will bring Village sidewalks into compliance with current ADA standards.

You will also see work begin along the west side of Salt Springs Street between Redfield Avenue and Pine Ridge Road within the next few weeks.

Prep work and the construction of new sidewalk may be delayed due to weather conditions as concrete cannot be poured if it is raining.

The Village appreciates your patience as we work through the construction phase. We expect to have this project complete by November 1, 2019.

If you have any questions regarding this project, please call the Village Clerk’s Office at (315)637-9864.
